As part of Data Protection Day, the CNPD published a brochure to raise public awareness.
The purpose of this publication was to present citizens’ rights related to data protection and explain how to enforce them.
The CNPD has thus listed the rights of the persons concerned:
- right to information
- right to contest a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling
- the right of access
- right to rectification
- right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- right to data portability
- right to object
- right to restriction of processing.
It also explained to data subjects how they can assert their rights and how these rights are protected.
It also provided citizens with 10 tips to improve the protection of their personal data.
